This notice explains what this event app stores, why, and your rights under UK GDPR, the Data Protection Act 2018 and PECR.
In short
- We only store what is needed to run the game you asked to play.
- No advertising, analytics or tracking cookies. Nothing is shared with advertisers.
- Because everything stored is strictly necessary, no cookie consent banner is required.
What is stored on your phone

These use your browser’s local storage rather than cookies, but PECR treats them the same way. Both are exempt from consent as they are strictly necessary for a service you requested. Your browser will remember you are signed in until you sign out.
What we keep on our server
- Your ticket code, the name you enter, your faction, WarCoin total, streak and the date you last mined.
- A fair-play log: sign-ins, mines and refused attempts, with the phone type (for example "iOS · Safari") and a scrambled, one-way tag of your internet connection. We never store your actual internet address. This lets organisers spot cheating.
- For organisers: email address and a securely hashed password.
Lawful basis: legitimate interests in running the event game you chose to join and keeping it fair. Your registered name shows on the public leaderboard.
Retention: game data is deleted by the organiser after the event ends.
Your rights
You can ask to see, correct or delete your data, or object to its use, by contacting the event organiser. If you are unhappy with how we handle it, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.
